The Waterlink Tere’O Touch is an advanced automatic chemical monitoring and control system designed for residential, commercial and public swimming pools and spas.
Tere’O Touch provides continuous monitoring of chlorine and pH, automatically controlling the connected chemical dosing or chlorination equipment to help maintain stable and consistent swimming pool water chemistry.
Unlike conventional ORP-only chemical controllers, Tere’O Touch is available with direct Free Chlorine or Active Chlorine measurement, allowing the system to be configured specifically for indoor or outdoor aquatic applications.
With intuitive touchscreen operation, programmable dosing controls, multiple regulation modes and optional remote monitoring, Tere’O Touch provides a professional water treatment solution for aquatic facilities where accurate and reliable chemical control is essential.

TERA or TERF — Which Tere’O Touch Do I Need?
One of the key differences between Tere’O Touch and simpler ORP chemical controllers is the ability to directly monitor chlorine. Tere’O Touch is available with either Active Chlorine or Free Chlorine sensors, allowing the system to be matched to the type of pool and water treatment being used. This makes Tere’O particularly well suited to commercial aquatic environments where more precise chlorine measurement and control is required.
Both models include pH and chlorine outputs and are compatible with chlorine-based treatment systems including salt chlorination.
TERA — Active Chlorine Control
0–<2 ppm
Required cyanuric acid level
The TERA model incorporates Active Chlorine and pH sensors. Waterlink specifies this configuration for indoor pools and spas operating with bromine, chlorine or salt chlorination. For the Active Chlorine sensor to operate correctly, cyanuric acid must be at 0 ppm or less than 2 ppm. TERA is supplied complete with pH and chlorine outputs and is compatible with the by-products associated with salt chlorination.

TERF — Free Chlorine Control
20–40 ppm
Required cyanuric acid level
The TERF model incorporates Free Chlorine and pH sensors and is designed primarily for outdoor swimming pools and spas. Waterlink specifies the TERF for pools using bromine, liquid or other chlorine types, or salt chlorination. For this model, cyanuric acid must be maintained between 20–40 ppm. This provides a direct free-chlorine measurement solution for outdoor commercial pools where stabiliser is present.

Compatible With Multiple Chlorination Systems
Tere’O Touch is designed to provide flexibility when specifying a new commercial water treatment system or upgrading an existing pool plant room. Waterlink specifies compatibility with:
Liquid Chlorine
Tere’O Touch can provide the control signal required for an automatic liquid chlorine dosing system.
Salt Water Chlorination
The system is compatible with salt chlorination and the associated electrolysis by-products.
Stabilised Chlorine
Tere’O can be used with stabilised chlorine applications when the appropriate sensor and operating conditions are selected.
Bromine
Both Tere’O configurations can be used in suitable bromine-treated pools or spas.
Chlorine Pellets
The system can also integrate with chlorine pellet treatment systems.
This flexibility allows the controller to become the central monitoring and control platform while the appropriate chemical feed equipment is selected for the individual facility.
Why Choose Direct Chlorine Measurement?
ORP remains an effective control method for many swimming pools, but ORP measures the oxidising potential of the water rather than the actual free-chlorine concentration.
Tere’O Touch provides the option of measuring chlorine directly. For commercial pool operators, this can provide a more meaningful indication of the actual sanitiser concentration in the swimming pool and allows the chemical control system to respond directly to changes in measured chlorine.
This makes Tere’O Touch particularly attractive for applications where accurate chlorine control, changing swimmer loads and commercial water-quality requirements are important considerations.
Advanced Dosing Control
Commercial swimming pools can experience rapid changes in sanitiser demand as swimmer loads increase and decrease. Rather than relying on basic fixed chemical dosing, Tere’O Touch offers several regulation methods including:
